The Bureau will help select a venue to suit individual requirements and budgets for your conference.

Site Inspections
 
The Bureau can co-ordinate and accompany the conference convenor/s/committee on site visits at various conference venues and hotels prior to selecting a venue to host your event. Once the event has been confirmed in Dundee & Angus, further site visits can also be arranged through the Bureau.

Delegate Information Packs
 
Delegate Information Packs can be provided for each of your delegates either prior to, to increase delegate attendance, or a few days before your conference begins, should you want them included in your registration packs. (Giving at least two weeks notice where possible)

Delegate Accommodation Booking Service
 
By providing an accommodation booking desk, the Bureau can offer a wide-ranging choice of establishments for individual delegate needs.

How the delegate accommodation booking service works:

Various rates can be arranged with Bed and Breakfast establishments, 2, 3 and 4 star hotels close to the city centre, no rooms will be held, delegates will be able to book their accommodation through the Angus and Dundee Tourist Board on a request basis OR alternatively, an allocation of rooms can be held by the Convention Bureau and again delegates would book their accommodation through the Angus and Dundee Tourist Board.

Delegates can book their accommodation by booking on-line at www.angusanddundee.co.uk/convention, when completing the accommodation booking form they are to quote a designated conference name and will then qualify for the special rates negotiated individually for each event/conference. Delegates can also book accommodation by sending an e-mail to conventionbureau@angusanddundee.co.uk or telephone the Tourist Information Centre on 01382 527 535 again quoting the designated conference name.

At the time of booking a £2.50 deposit per room per night is payable, with the remainder of the accommodation rate and any extras to be settled with the hotel direct. The following forms of payment for the deposit are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Access, Delta, Switch, Cheques (UK Residents Only).

Transport and Support Services
 
Impartial advice is available: · On a range of inbound and delegate transportation, from transferring delegates to and from hotels to conference venues to airport transfers. · Identifying suppliers for catering, entertainment and audio-visual equipment.

Civic Recognition
 
On confirmation of your event, the Convention Bureau can make a request for Civic Hospitality on your behalf for a date that fits your programme. (up to a maximum of 100 delegates, held in the City Chambers)

Conference Dinner
 
The Bureau can help you with your conference dinner and can forward suggestions, availability and costs.

Tours and Social Programmes
 
In an area rich in natural beauty, heritage and visitor attractions, the Bureau can supply itineraries and help to co-ordinate pre and post conference tours, social and partner events, which play that all-important part in making an event memorable.

Promotional Assistance
 
To increase delegate interest for the conference the Bureau can supply literature or images to give a taste of the area prior to arriving in Dundee and Angus.

The site can assist delegates with their transportation requirements, general information and will also allow them to book accommodation on-line. We can assist with pre-registration by creating a link from the Convention Bureau site to your designated conference website.

A pre and post press release or article about your upcoming conference, meeting or event can also be placed on the news page of the Convention Bureau Website.
