Civic Hospitality

The City of Dundee and Angus would be delighted to formally welcome your delegates to the area and extend the offer of civic hospitality.

On confirmation of your event, the Convention Bureau can make a request for Civic Hospitality on your behalf in either Dundee or Angus for a date that fits your programme and subject to the availability of the Lord Provost in Dundee and Provost in Angus.

In Dundee – the Civic Reception would take place in the City Chambers for up to 100 delegates, however, should an alternative venue be required due to delegate numbers or to fit in with a planned evening social programme, a special request can be made to the Lord Provost.  Please be aware that if the reception is hosted outwith the City Chambers, the organising body will be responsible for paying for any room hire, catering and corkage costs.

In Angus – all applications for civic hospitality are considered on an individual basis.

In both instances, the bureau will be happy to assist with providing suggestions and costs.

Delegate Information Packs

Delegate Information in the form of an A4 Folder, Visitor Guide and a city centre map can be provided for each of your delegates either prior to, to increase delegate attendance, or a few days before your conference begins, should you want them included in your registration packs.  (Giving at least two weeks notice where possible)

Funding Contributions

Suitability for funding will need to be ascertained.

Suitability for funding:

• All financial support is available upon successful application and will be offered as part of a tailored bid designed to meet the needs of the organising association/body.  
• All applications are subject to set criteria and policy changes.
• Dundee & Angus Convention Bureau and associate funding organisations must be promoted as an event sponsor on your conference programme, website and print materials.
