Dundee Heritage Trust - Drinks Receptions

Dundee Heritage Trust is a registered charity dedicated to the guardianship, preservation, and portrayal of Dundee’s Heritage in ways that educate, inspire and enlighten current and future generations.

The Trust has the responsibility for the ongoing preservation and restoration of the internationally important Royal Research Ship Discovery, and Verdant Works, one of the nation’s most important textile museums.

Within these attractions, which are consistently graded by VisitScotland as 5-star Visitor Attractions, there are excellent facilities for meetings, seminars, conferences, dinners and drinks receptions. These inspiring venues will provide you with a fantastic setting for a successful and memorable conference or event.

Your support will allow the Trust to continue to inspire visitors to its museums to seek new challenges, understand our place in history, conserve and display our heritage and keep alive a sense of wonder at those who have gone before us.

We have new areas opened up aboard Discovery and within Verdant Works and Discovery Point. As part of the Restoration and Conservation Project 2007-2009 the lower deck had been opened up and fitted with heating units and new interpretation on the ship’s construction and history. Thanks to this we now have a new space available on board RRS Discovery to host drink receptions throughout the year.
Prior to this new area, drink receptions were held aboard Discovery, however when the weather turned rough the receptions were moved into the function suite at Discovery Point. We can now guarantee that drinks reception will be held on board come rain, hail or shine.

For that special party or get-together exclusively hire RRS Discovery for champagne/wine and canapés.
