By air, fly into Dundee from London Heathrow Airport or choose the international airports of Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Travel by coach

Xplore More – X90 to Edinburgh Airport, providing coach travel between Edinburgh Airport and Dundee.  X90 coach will run non-stop between Dundee City Centre and Edinburgh airport.  For a full timetable, price list and how to book and board visit Xplore Dundee website.  Coaches are wheelchair accessible, to reserve your space, please book at least 2 days in advance of your trip. 

Ember – Frequent services between Edinburgh Airport and Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station to/from Dundee offering fast, comfortable travel by electric bus with low fares, live tracking and zero emissions. 

For Edinburgh Airport, pick-up and drop-off point in Dundee is at Greenmarket (beside Dundee Science Centre), with daytime coaches stopping at Ingliston Park & Ride which is right next to the airport.  From Ingliston Park & Ride, you can take a two minute tram connection to the airport (included in the ticket price), a five minute bus or even walk in around 15 minutes.

For Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station, pick-up point is at Greenmarket (beside Dundee Science Centre), drop-off point is at Dundee Train Station.  Coach will stop at Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station which has frequent connections to Glasgow Airport – intermediate stops will include Stirling, Dunblane, Cumbernauld and Perth.

Travel by road

Plan your road trip to our region, Edinburgh is 90 minutes away by car, Manchester is five hours away by car and London an eight hour drive.

It’s easy to see journey times and routes using AA Route Planner while you’ll find Live traffic news, 24 hours a day, from AA Roadwatch.

Travel by rail

Dundee is easy to reach by train so make tracks for our region using the rail network. Edinburgh is one hour 15 minutes away, Birmingham is 5 hours 45 minutes away and London is 6 and a half hours away. Train journeys can be planned and booked online, visit the Trainline or Scotrail.

Getting around

Dundee is vibrant and diverse - and it has a compact city centre which means getting around by foot is a simple way to get around and a great way to appreciate all that it offers.

But with amazing towns, villages and countryside to explore in Angus, Perthshire and Fife, ours is a region really worth getting to know. You’ll also find ample train and bus options or why not hire a taxi to get from A to B?
