Rewiring and New Lighting
With the support of Dundee City Council, HMS Unicorn has been completely rewired and improved lighting installed. This is the first major overhaul of the ships wiring and lighting since the Royal Navy operated Unicorn in the 1960s.
The work has not only upgraded the on-board electrics but has greatly enhanced the visitor experience on the ship, by lighting and opening up areas of the vessel that were previously inaccessible.
We had a surprising donation of two life-size replica guns recently from Dundee Sea Cadets. Our plan is to restore these and include a plaque marking their donation.
Dundee Sea Cadets have been busy cleaning our dockside area whilst Capability Scotland and the Inclusion Group are working on some planting plans.
