Overview
Dundee Science Centre is an independent charity with its own distinct personality and facilities – bringing people together to enjoy science!
Situated in the heart of the city, Dundee Science Centre’s iconic building opens up the fascinating and curious world of the sciences through an immersive and fun experience - with interactive exhibits, live science shows, hands-on workshops and demonstrations for all ages.
In 2018, we opened our new first floor facilities, which include a new interactive exhibition and learning suite. Combined with our ground floor spaces, we have several fantastic opportunities for organisations who wish to host their own events within Dundee Science Centre.
Inspire: a seminar room that includes all AV for presentations, has a static lectern and comfortably holds 100 people theatre-style. Seating is free-standing so the room can be arranged into other layouts, including cabaret or boardroom style.
Innovate: a meeting room that includes all AV for presentations, has a static lectern and holds 30 people theatre style, or 22 people cabaret or boardroom style. This room is more suited to smaller meetings or as a hands-on workshop space.
Auditorium: a circular-shaped room that includes all AV for presentations and meetings and holds a maximum of 50 people theatre style, or 30 cabaret or boardroom style.
Prism: an open plan atrium area suitable for celebration style events for up to 120 guests. The area can host formal dinners for up to 60 people.
Opportunities for your guests to engage with our exhibitions on the day of your event are also available.

The coffee shop offers snacks and light lunches from 9am until 4pm daily, 7 days a week

"We were looking for a venue in Dundee to host a large business festival. We are so delighted we took the time to look at the Dundee Science Centre. The building is bright, airy and quirky and was perfect for our needs. The Inspire room was great for the speaker sessions it hosted up to 60 people and the technology was perfect for presentations.
We loved using the round room downstairs for a more intimate fireside chat with experts about business and the main area next to the café was perfect for the breakfast and lunch speakers. The building was perfect, right in the centre of town next to the station and great car parking but the main reason I would thoroughly recommend using the Science Centre for a venue was their incredible staff. They literally could not do enough for us. From taking down some of the seating in the speaker area so we could get everyone in, to offering the use of their van to bring down all the stuff we needed to bring they could not have been more accommodating.
The whole experience was seamless, and they all helped making organising one of the biggest business events held in Dundee for a long time so much less stressful. They were a safe pair of hands to work with. The event was a huge success, due in no small part to the incredible partnership with the Science Centre. I would urge anyone organising an event for whatever reason to look at the Dundee Science Centre. You won’t be disappointed."
