Verdant Works is a beautifully restored Victorian Mill which lends itself perfectly as a venue for conferences, events and corporate entertaining. Each area within the building has unique features, stunning architecture and is extremely flexible. From the outside courtyard it is difficult to imagine the size and spaces available in this building so we would encourage you to make an appointment to come and view for yourself.
From the beautifully restored High Mill which is a spectacular event space for hosting dinners, weddings, performances and special events, to the enchanting Weavers Room which lends itself to conferences and smaller intimate dinners, there are so many adaptable spaces within the Verdant Works complex to utilise.
Our friendly and efficient Conference Management Team has the experience and expertise to ensure that your event runs smoothly.

Meeting Spaces
The Weavers Room - A beautiful example of Victorian architecture and a characteristic room, bright and diverse for meetings and events. Situated on the 3rd floor of Verdant Works, the Weavers Room is perfect for presentations, dinners or conferences. Accessible by either stairs or lift.
The High Mill - Recently renovated to expose the cathedral height roof, this award-winning architectural gem is a beautiful space to hold public and private events.
From dinners, drinks receptions and exhibitions, to performances, this area can be transformed and used creatively for all kinds of events.
The Red Box and Glazed Alley - The Red Box is essentially a learning pod within the Glazed Alley, a beautifully open space within Verdant Works. These spaces can be used separately or together to host registration for events, drinks receptions, small workshops or presentations.
Social History Gallery | Machine Hall | Courtyard | Auditorium - Additional areas which can be used for events, each of them full of charm and character and available for evening events in particular. Verdant Works has dedicated hi-speed WiFi for organisers and delegates.
Museum Access
Conference delegates are welcome to explore the museum on the day of the conference. Make sure to leave time on the day of your conference to allow delegates to experience the mill, and explore the industrial and social history of our city
