"My wife and I just returned from a weekend stay at the Old Course Hotel St. Andrews. 3rd to 5th February. The hotel is fantastic, plenty of parking spaces and we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The receptionist was most pleasant and helpful with a very easy check in. Our upgraded hotel suite was fantastic a real wow factor moment when entering the room. The large suite with lounge was just perfect with everything we would need. The large bathroom with both shower and huge bath was great. The suite towels were regularly changed, the rooms cleaned and tidied, and the bed sheets turned down early evening.
We had a meal at the hotel Road Hole restaurant one evening. The two main meals we ordered were steak and fish and were both were cooked and presented just perfectly to order - both meals were delicious The restaurant waiter service was efficient and the restaurant manager was most helpful for meal choices and wine selection. The hotel is located at the Old Course but is also just one mile from St Andrews town centre, so ideal for a site seeing walk and shopping. The Jigger bar at the hotel was also cosy and welcoming after the walk and great for a relaxing chat.
All in all, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were first class, clean and tidy. We had an excellent stay and planning to head back later in the year. I would recommend a stay at the hotel for a relaxing time, great food and service with some great golf courses close by."
